We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Development Executive role in a food and beverage manufacturing company. It is a well-known Chinese multinational corporation that has gained widespread recognition for its genuine Asian sauces and condiments. The position is responsible for identifying and growing the customer base, stockists, and users as well as for boosting product penetration and sales at the retail, wholesale, and restaurant levels.
Job Requirements:
University-level education, or an equivalent, with a business or marketing degree being preferred.
Possess at least 2 years of relevant experience, and be well-versed in trade marketing, distributor management, supply chain, and the FMCG industry.
Work authorization in the UK.
Fluency in Cantonese or Mandarin, as well as proficiency in English.
Must possess a valid European driving license.
Microsoft Office proficiency is required to present business plans and analyze sales data and trends.
Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends, and travel frequently.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, as well as high levels of motivation and self-drive.
Be a team player and be willing to help out colleagues in other departments as needed.
Must be self-sufficient, a good organizer, and have strong self-discipline.
Outstanding negotiator when it comes to speaking with clients on all levels.
To interact with customers effectively, one must be an admirer of Chinese cuisine, an accomplished cook, and have good knowledge of the kitchen's operation.
Job Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the BDM to design and implement programs to increase sales and distribution.
Identify the crucial strategic accounts and opportunities that will guarantee efficient coverage of the region and track performance in line with predetermined goals.
Assist Trade Partners in the supply chain's in-market sales development.
Make sure Trade Partners' warehouse maintains a healthy inventory level to ensure product availability and seamless supply across all appropriate channels.
Be the main point of contact for trade partners' sales teams, important wholesalers, and retailers regarding inquiries from the market and follow-up.
Gather and track information on distribution, pricing, and competitor activity to aid in business planning.
Manage and carry out product presentations and demonstrations for key accounts.
Organise and carry out in-store demonstration and sampling initiatives, which may necessitate working on weekends.
Assist the BDM with sales strategy and A&P and other channel expenditure tracking in accordance with relevant financial controls.
Control the introduction and launch of new products to the market in support of Trade Partners to increase distribution.
Maintain positive connections with various trade contacts and associations while representing the company at Chinese trade events.
Ensure timely information flow to support sales and development opportunities by establishing strong relationships with Trade Partners and their sales teams.
Maintain and manage contacts and records for business customers.
Maintain effective trade coverage and regular field-based contact while managing a cost-effective yet comprehensive journey plan.
Assist the business in maintaining a favorable brand image and reputation in the marketplace to safeguard its reputation.
Updates on the latest market trends and findings are provided regularly.
Business trips are required as needed.
