We have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant / Senior Consultant for a London-based Management Consulting company. The firm is working in the life sciences industry throughout the globe. This position's goal is to oversee the completion of client projects, ensuring that they meet the client's goals and expectations, and also the project timeframes.
Job Requirements:
• Recent employment with an EU-based consulting firm provided familiarity and in-market knowledge with the EU pharmaceutical sector.
• A master's degree in medicine or biological sciences from a world-class faculty (Ph.D. preferred)
• 3+ years of relevant professional experience at consultant level
• Senior Consultant: 4+ years of recent life science/pharmaceutical consulting experience is required.
• With multiple stages of advancement/promotion, you have a track record of professional accomplishment.
• Leadership abilities that have been demonstrated (functional, client, team, etc.)
• Competitor intelligence experience in the pharmaceutical industry
• Strong expertise and experience in the pharmaceutical business, including issue monitoring and coverage of industry conferences, primary C.I., CI deep dives, workshops, scenario preparation, and synthesis/ insight creation
• Successful experience managing projects or workstreams within projects.
• Highly skilled in Microsoft Office (to include Excel and PowerPoint).
• Excellent communication abilities, including the ability to write and present.
• Has a thorough awareness of the life sciences and pharmaceutical industries, including current trends, advancements, and problems.
• Skills in delegation and people management.
Job Responsibilities:
• Develops important project deliverables such as individual parts of (qualitative, quantitative, financial, and pharmaco-economic) research, analysis, and synthesis.
• Characterizes complex data into engaging, short, and actionable insights using a variety of strategic frameworks.
• Creates sticks to and maintains a project plan and budget, which includes important milestones, delivery timeframes, and review sessions while keeping an eye on available capacity and any difficulties and risks.
• Scopes out team roles and performs them well (for instance, project manager, business analyst, and communication champion).
• Manages a small team in the execution of customer projects, and efficiently and promptly handles performance problems.
• Ensures that deliverables are of good quality, for example, using the four-eye concept, a checklist, or a formal quality control procedure.
• Conducts project evaluations and solicits formal input at the end of each project (or at contract renewal for monitoring projects) to ensure that significant project learnings are documented.
• Interacts with designated client teams to communicate progress, questions/hypotheses/conclusions, and to answer any questions or concerns, as well as to flag issues as necessary.
• Ensures that the client is satisfied throughout the project's duration.
• Assumes practice leadership responsibilities, such as hiring, knowledge management, and pursuit leadership.
