We have an exciting opportunity for a Forensic Accountant Sr. Associate role for a London-based management consulting company. The firm is a global market leader in identifying, analyzing, and mitigating the risks of foreign regulatory compliance responsibilities, litigation, and both internal and external multi-jurisdictional investigations. An extroverted, self-motivated person with excellent communication and analytical abilities, and a desire for a wide range of work experiences and challenges who possess the required qualification is a successful candidate for this role.
Job Requirements:
• 2–5 years of technical and financial advisory expertise in forensic accounting, investigation, audit, or litigation services is required; prior forensic accounting experience is strongly encouraged.
• Mandarin proficiency in the workplace
• Experience in business and strategic planning, as well as managing client relationships, is required.
• Ability to design and execute work that meets or exceeds customer expectations in terms of client service
• Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills are required.
• Short-notice travel requirements for client service initiatives must be accommodated.
• Experience in public accounting or auditing at a professional services business is desired.
• Professional demeanor and good written and oral communication abilities
• A solid background in accounting, finance, and/or economics is desirable.
• familiarity with regulatory and compliance concerns
• Ability to think critically
• Strong organizational abilities and excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent judgment, excellent leadership abilities, and the capacity to deal with a variety of issues
• Highly motivated, proactive, and capable of working both individually and as part of a team, with a significant amount of initiative and drive
• Ability to identify and evaluate regulatory and compliance concerns in a global corporate environment that is fast-paced and continuously evolving.
• A background in the financial services industry is advantageous.
• Bachelor's degree is necessary; MBA, ASA, and/or CFA a plus; CPA, CFE desirable.
Job Responsibilities:
• Assist with the creation of scopes of work for a variety of engagements.
• Complete a thorough examination of accounting, financial, and economic issues in the context of commercial transactions, and provide recommendations as needed.
• Examine papers to find items that are important to the inquiry.
• Compile and analyze data to develop, substantiate, and/or evaluate various damage hypotheses, claims, and findings.
• Smaller project teams can be effectively facilitated.
• Prepare draught reports of results, including tables, exhibits, and charts
• Assist with the administration of engagement management, including budgeting, billing, control, and asset safeguarding.
• Multiple projects and responsibilities must be balanced.
• Effectively communicate with all levels of engagement management.
• Establish and maintain ties with the client team's working level.
• Assist with employee coaching, mentoring, and counseling.
• Assist with proposal preparation; take part in marketing initiatives
• Market problems and opportunities should be researched.
• Demonstrate a grasp of the risks involved with different engagements.
• Risks and concerns should be identified and communicated.
