We have an exciting opportunity for a Chief Executive Officer role in a Sydney-based Financial Services company. It is a market leader in brokerage services, providing premium and high-level brokerage services to asset management firms and large investment institutions worldwide. They are seeking an FCA-certified Mandarin speaker to fill this position.

Job Requirements:

-Candidates with FCA governing function certifications. The SMF-1 (Chief executive function) and SMF-3 (Executive director function) are required, while the SMF-16 (Compliance oversight function) and SMF-17 (Money laundering reporting function) are optional.

-A senior management position with at least 7–10 years of work experience in a financial services company.

-Understanding the financial services industry, its products, and services, as well as key regulatory principles is required.

-Solid and up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, client needs, industry trends, and forecasts for pertinent market conditions.

-Mandarin speakers are desirable.

Job Responsibilities:

-Directing the creation of the company's short- and long-term strategies, making sure they are in line with those goals.

-Making major corporate decisions and managing a company's overall operations and resources.

-Communicating with stakeholders on behalf of the company.

-Keeping current on the competitive market landscape, expansion opportunities, industry developments, and so on.

-Examine financial and non-financial reports to come up with solutions or make improvements.

-Evaluating the work of other company executives.

-Generating new ideas for the company's operations.

-Monitoring the activities of various departments to achieve overall objectives.

-Developing and implementing strategies with the senior management team to determine the company's direction.

-Enforcing adherence to legal guidelines and internal policies to maintain the legality and business ethics of the company.
