Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for overseeing the administration of the export process as well as the import process and documentation. also in charge of all import and local product purchasing.
Negotiate suppliers' contract terms to get the best possible business advantage (e.g., pricing, advertisement support, exclusivity, etc.).
Source food items, raw materials, and materials from around the world.
To comply with UK regulatory requirements, examine food labels and inform suppliers of any changes that are required.
Maintain a close eye on the stock performance and take steps to reach the ideal stock level.
Establish and maintain dependable connections with regional and global suppliers.
Regularly evaluate suppliers, assess their performance, and, if necessary, renew contracts.
Maintain and control product information in ERP.
Calculate the costs of importing or exporting each shipment.
Establish pricing and purchasing strategies.
Take part in product/category reviews to deliver ongoing improvements in product selection, caliber, and cost.
Manage prices proactively to keep inflation in check, coming up with alternatives when necessary.
Produce a range of reports for internal stakeholders, such as purchasing expenditures, product costs, performance, etc.
