We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager role in a global Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, and Storage company. It is a leading international cross-border e-commerce infrastructure service provider that provides unrivaled logistics and fulfillment solutions to international e-commerce sellers. The Business Development Manager will be in charge of handling every stage of the sales cycle, including lead generation, qualification, determining the needs of potential clients, positioning solutions, outlining pricing options, and closing new business. The Business Development Manager will also communicate with several cross-functional departments, such as operations, IT, the team in charge of managing the shipping channels, finance, and the Chinese global sales support staff.

Job Requirements:

A bachelor's degree in business or a related field is preferred.

A UK driving license is required.

A minimum of three years of experience in B2C and B2B that is related to a history of business development is required. 

Experience with fulfillment, warehousing, logistics, shipping, or supply chain in the e-commerce, carrier service, or 3PL industries.

Experience in business development with an existing fulfillment service provider in the UK is preferred.

Be open to learning and implementing a consultative sales approach.

Working knowledge of e-commerce logistics and shipping service providers like Royal Mail, Hermes, Yodel, DPD, UPS, Tuffnells, and XDP, among others, will be helpful.

Ideally possessing prior knowledge of both domestic and international shipping services.

Must be analytically sound, technologically savvy, and meticulous.

possess a track record of achieving successful sales goals

Excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft business suite, which includes Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Capable of multitasking and completing work within a given time frame

Independently sets and attains professional and personal objectives

Understanding of e-commerce-based systems such as OMS, TOMS, WMS, or equivalent is required.

Job Responsibilities:

Reach monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales revenue targets.

Closes and onboard new clients consistently.

Keeps a fresh pipeline of new business opportunities.

Provides the management team with estimates of sales and revenue that are realistic.

Recognize client and prospective client e-commerce approaches to position global e-commerce fulfillment and shipping alternatives.

Has a thorough understanding of the Elogistic value proposition and the ability to position advantages to win new business in a cutthroat e-commerce fulfillment environment.

Using a consultative sales approach builds and promotes strong, long-term customer relationships.

Promptly responds to requests from prospective clients

Maintains long-term contact with prospects.

Make proposals and presentations on fulfillment and shipping pricing.

Establishes client SOPs in collaboration with the account management team.

Ensures that new clients are onboarded properly and that the appropriate SOPs are in place by working with the onboarding team, account managers, and sales support coordinator.

Monitors market trends, taking into account developments in the industry, competitors, and clients, and channels pertinent information internally.

Attends trade shows, exhibitions, and business events

Continuously provide management with feedback on the company's successes and challenges.
