Capable and talented Personal Assistant needed for the Director of a Technology Company.
FL Group Ltd is a new company specialising in the e-commerce industry with highly technical database and platforms. The company's business owners have businesses all over the world and in particular, a strong industry presence in Asia. The Director has been tasked with important company expansion objectives, notably the setting up of the international business' UK presence. He will need to devote significant amounts of his time in the business and is looking for an individual who is trustworthy who can support him in delivering his goals across a wide range of personal and corporate interests. He would require all-inclusive, widespread personal assistant support to contribute to the success of his interests.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an up-and-coming technology business. The candidate will be expected to travel with the Director on business regularly. Therefore, where necessary, you will need to procure visas for certain countries such as Netherlands, Germany, USA, Malaysia, Hong Kong.
This will be a full time role with working hours between 10:00AM - 6:00PM provisionally, Monday to Friday with a 1-hour lunch break. A degree of flexibility will be required.
Main duties:
- Liaising with third parties (personal and professional) throughout the course of the day,
- Answering any in-bound communications, telephone, email letters professionally,
- Accompanying the principal to meetings, events etc,
- Diary and calendar management (scheduling business and personal appointments and meetings, making reservations etc where necessary). Ensuring that the Director is on track for his appointments daily,
- Networking and researching for all new business contacts and experts within certain fields as and when required,
- Planning, organising and booking travel including flights, accommodation, visas, passport renewals etc,
- Ad hoc projects and research,
- Supporting the principal in sourcing, interviewing, recruiting and with the engagement of key staff,
- Any other ad hoc errands.

Other requirements:
- You must have your own right to live and work in the UK.
- Trustworthiness and prudence in handling the Director's affairs, discreet and respectful of confidentiality requirements,
- Strong command of English, Good proficiency in Mandarin,
- Strong personal organisation and time management,
- Confident attitude,
- Effective verbal, listening and communication skills,
- Efficient with attention to detail and accuracy,
- Multi-tasking, organisational and administration skills,
- Flexibility for international travel with the Director and with working hours (within reasonable bounds).
Preferable:
- Background knowledge in Technology industry and in IT,
- Previous experience of working in e-commerce,
- Financial background,
- Prior experience in the same role,
- Cultural, economic and political awareness and sensitivity,
- University educated.
Remuneration:
Ranging between £15,000 and £35,000 depending on experience, skills and ability. This can be raised depending on the candidate's calibre, capabilities and suitability for the role.
