We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Technologist role in an Entertainment Provider company. It is a part of one of the biggest leisure and attraction experiences in the world, offering breathtaking theatre, cruise, travel, resort, and shopping experiences. The Product Technologist will play a key role in working closely with factory partners in the Far East to ensure that products are of the highest quality and adhere to all applicable laws and testing requirements.
 

Job Requirements:

3 years minimum of experience in a technologist or quality control role.

Experience writing product risk evaluations is required.

Experience composing quality control documents is required.

Experience working with factories in the Far East is crucial.

Expertise in quality assurance processes and standards.

Expertise in FMCG testing standards around the world.

A thorough understanding of Quality Control as a role in the industry, as well as what constitutes good QC practices in toys and souvenirs.

Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.

Mandarin or Cantonese language proficiency would be advantageous.

Must be an expert at using Microsoft Office.

Meticulous, well-organized, and methodical.

A 'can do' attitude and the ability to solve problems naturally are required.

Maintain a level head under pressure.

Capable of working as part of a team.

Self-motivated individual.

Capable of working proactively.

Willing to travel when necessary.

Job Responsibilities:

Assist the product development group throughout the entire project lifecycle and serve as "the voice" of safety and quality for all products.

Ensure that sound QC procedures are established with the help of factory partners, and they are followed.

Plan outsourced testing with the aid of our international third-party partners.

Throughout the production process, check in with factory partners to make sure the goods are being produced to the right standards.

Make a risk assessment for every product.

Identify and investigate high-return items.

Oversee any rework required as a result of standards not being met.

Maintain a current understanding of product regulations and requirements.

Implement and carry out remedial measures for items that fail inspection.

Perform goods-in inspections on each delivery, especially those that contain imported goods.

Verify new factories' compliance with standards and product quality by inspecting them.
