We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Technologist role in an Entertainment Provider company. It is a part of one of the biggest leisure and attraction experiences in the world, offering breathtaking theatre, cruise, travel, resort, and shopping experiences. The company is seeking an experienced and talented Product Technologist to work alongside the product development and operations teams to help build an exciting product line for clients.

Job Requirements:

-Working knowledge of toy and souvenir production (preferable).
-A thorough understanding of QC as a role within the industry, as well as what constitutes good QC practice in toys and souvenirs.
-Capability to develop Quality Control processes.
-Ability to recognize potential problems and provide creative solutions timely. 
-Problem-solving attitude.
-Excellent project management skills are required to ensure that deadlines are always met.
-Excellent communication and writing skills.
-A track record of delivering high-quality products.
-Working knowledge of factories in the Far East.
-Capable of communicating in Mandarin (highly desirable).
-Knowledge of how to write product risk assessments.
-Methodical, organized, and precise, with a keen eye for detail.
-Excellent written and oral English.
-Excellent command of Microsoft Office.
-Demonstrate and fulfill a "can-do" attitude.
-Be able to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and meet high expectations.
-Capable of working as part of a team.
-Desire to achieve success.
-Self-motivated individual.
-Capable of working on one's initiative.
-Capable of establishing and maintaining productive working relationships.

Job Responsibilities:

-Collaboration with the product development team throughout the project's lifecycle is required.
-Develop sound quality control procedures along with factory partners, and make sure they are followed and checked against.
-Plan outsourced testing with the aid of international third-party partners.
-Throughout the manufacturing process, check in with factory partners to make sure the products adhere to the required standards.
-Make a risk assessment for every product.
-Ensure critical paths are created and followed in collaboration with the product development team.
-Recognize and scrutinize high-return items.
-Control any rework required as a result of standards not being met.
-Maintain current product legislation and standards.
-Report issues with manufacturing to the product manager, business developer, and product developer.
-For items that don't pass inspection, implement and carry out corrective action.
-Create reports based on your findings.
-Ensure that key stakeholders are kept up to date as needed.
-Inspect all shipments, especially those that are imported, upon arrival.
-Inspect and tour new factories to make sure they adhere to standards and produce high-quality goods.
-Collaborate with the design team to ensure that the packaging artwork meets all legal requirements.
-Collaborate with our third-party inspection firm to schedule inspections prior to shipment.
-Collaborate with the finance team to settle factory invoices.
