Express Worldwide Logistics are a young, friendly and exciting Logistics Company based at Heathrow who are growing rapidly by focusing on the E-Commerce market between UK and China.
We have grown substantially in the last four years focusing on supplying International Airfreight and Courier service solutions for e-commerce retailers and Chinese domestic customers who buy UK products online, as well as UK-based Chinese customers who send parcels and freight to Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
We are now looking to recruit an enthusiastic person to join our Customer Service/Operations team and help us develop further.
The applicant will assist in managing the day to day airfreight operation and all of the related administration. To build relationships with the existing clients and deliver a high standard of customer service at all times.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Manage the day to day export bookings of the Air Freight jobs.
• Raising Job files and all appropriate paperwork including Air Way Bills.
• Processing jobs through Data freight system.
• Customs entries using the NES Customs system.
• Extensive client liaison and negotiation.
• Extensive supplier liaison and negotiation.
• Internal liaison with the sales team assisting with quotations and service information.
• Managing the jobs from quotation stage to final invoicing in line with the client expectations and communicating effectively any service issues.
• Maximising the gross profit by negotiating with the supplier base.
• Proactively contacting the existing clients to maximise business potential.
• Look to develop new avenues of business for the company.
Working hours
Working hours are Monday to Friday 09:30 to 18:00hrs. Flexible working is sometimes required to cover clients' needs.
Qualifications
It would be preferable but not essential for the Candidate to have a College Course or University Degree in any of the below subjects:
• business/management;
• supply chain management;
• Transport/distribution/logistics.
• foreign languages with business studies
Skills
You will need to have:
• communication skills - you will be liaising with a variety of people through E-Mail, Social Media and Telephone.
• Mandarin speaking is essential.
• Good organisational and planning skills.
• Teamwork, tact and good interpersonal skills.
• Sensitivity to culture and religion.
• Flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
• Problem-solving ability, particularly when working under pressure.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Numeracy and computer literacy.
Training and development
